Store Your MPro 25 for the Winter
Winter is coming! Make sure your electric pressure washer is stored properly so it’s ready for action next year.
Disconnect Water & Relieve Pressure
- Turn OFF the machine and unplug it.
- Turn off your water supply.
- Squeeze the trigger on the gun until all pressure is released from the hose and pump.
Drain All Water From the System
- With the unit still unplugged, disconnect the high-pressure hose from the machine.
- Disconnect the gun and wand from the hose.
- Tip the electric pressure washer forward and backward to let any remaining water drip out of the pump and inlet.
Even a drops left inside can freeze and crack the pump housing.
Add Pump Saver / Antifreeze
This is the most important step! Use pump saver, RV antifreeze, or pressure washer antifreeze.
How to apply it:
-
- Connect the pump saver bottle to the water inlet (garden-hose side).
- Press or squeeze the bottle until antifreeze begins to flow out of the outlet.
- Once it flows steadily, the pump is fully protected and internally lubricated.
Benefits:
-
- Prevents freezing
- Protects seals and pistons
- Prevents corrosion
- Keeps the pump lubricated during storage
Storing the Hose, Gun & Nozzles
Even if water doesn’t freeze inside them, moisture can cause corrosion or mold.
- Drain all hoses thoroughly.
- Store them uncoiled and dry.
- Remove nozzles and let them dry.
Store the Pressure Washer Properly
- Keep it in a dry, indoor place if possible.
- Avoid uninsulated garages below freezing unless the pump saver was applied.
- Store the machine upright.
When You’re Ready to Use It Again
- Just reconnect your hoses.
- Flush clean water through the machine for 20–30 seconds before use.
- You do not need to remove pump saver. It will harmlessly rinse out.
